New hotel added to the Rein family.

A new hotel added to the Rein family of hotels. Two days ago the contract was signed and now the former Filoxenia hotel in Kallithea Filiates joins our family. This now gives us new possibilities as it becomes possible to proceed with cross-offers and propose hybrid holidays for travelers who want to combine mountain and sea holidays for 1 or 2 weeks.

And all this at affordable prices for the Greek and the foreign visitor. Rein Kallithea has 11 rooms while within a 1-hour drive radius one can visit the sources of the Lagkavitsa River, the Holy Monastery of Agia Marina (Lykou) Haravgi, the Holy Monastery of Giromeri, the Acropolis of Osdina, Igoumenitsa, Sivota, Parga, Filiates, the Acheron River, the Wells of Keramitsa Malouni, the Koulia Tower, the Zalongogefyro Bridge, Theogefyro Bridge and the archaeological site of Doliani.

Rein Kallithea also took over a second store, the main restaurant – cafe in the central square of the village where various events will be held for the villagers and visitors. We will soon announce the various activities and experiences that those who visit our hotels in Laista Zagori and Kallithea Filiates respectively can gain.

Project: Pnoe – Laista

Feasts and celebrations are very nice, but a lively village is not the one that has a large population only one month per year. It’s not even the one that is full of hotels and rooms for rent, as the guests are there only on an ephemeral basis, in order to indulge themselves, take a couple of photos and then move on to their next ephemeral destination. A lively village, one that actually has a future, is the one where on a random winter Wednesday afternoon, is filled with children’s voices who have finished school and are on their way to the main square in order to play.

This is why Rein launches the project Pnoe – Laista. Inspired by the amazing results of one priest and one teacher in the village Fourna Evrytanias, we call people who have children and would like to move to the mountainous village of Laista to get in touch with us.

About the village
The village of Laista is located on the Zagori Nature Reserve, 1 hour and 45 minutes by car from Ioannina. During the winter about 20 people live there on a constant basis. There is a wonderful school building that would be an excellent location for children to attend their classes. There are many churches and there are church services that take place occasionally by a priest from a neighboring village. Rein hotel is the meeting spot for locals and visitors alike as it’s been recently reopened by a family with one 3 year old child (so if there will be 1-2 more children who move to the village the school can open).

How we will help you and what jobs are available
We will help you first of all to find a place to live with a low monthly rent. If you have some money and would like to buy a house, we can help you find a house to buy at a low cost. We will also help you find a job and have a steady income. There is a working position for a priest, so a priest with many children would immediately have work here at the village. There is also a working position at the hotel. There are other jobs available at the village involving manual labor. Laista also offers ideal conditions for digital nomads, as there is broadband internet available and Starlink always being an alternative.

How to get in touch
Those who are interested should write us a message stating how many children they have, their age and what is their current profession, what skills they possess, what kind of job they could picture themselves do at a remote Greek village on the mountains of Zagori etc. Attaching a CV is not mandatory but would be nice to have. Those interested should get in touch with Dimitrios Manos, owner of Rein hotel at the main square of Laista. You can do so via email at info@rein.gr, contact us via phone (+302653024013 or +306937163555) or message us via Facebook or X.

Holy Spirit Feast at Laista

During the Sunday before the Holy Spirit celebration, a feast took place at the main square of Laista. Unfortunately due to family issues, Hristos Gatselos could not attend but Giorgos Konospiris took his place and his band gave a masterful performance that indulged the attendees. Below you may see pictures from the event.
